


Alisa Martin Leighton works as a therapist in Early Intervention in the Hudson County region in New Jersey. She is also as an Educational Specialist in New York City. Alisa has been in the field of education for over 30 years. She was born in Brooklyn, New York. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education at The City College of New York followed by a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education at The Bank Street College of Education in New York. Alisa has a Standard Certification for Teacher of the Handicapped birth to 21 years of age in New Jersey and has attained her Supervision Certification in New Jersey.
Currently, Alisa in her last year as a doctoral candidate in the Educational Technology Leadership Program, President of the Psi-Chi Chapter, and Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultants (LDTC) program at New Jersey City University.
